Company Description

The Laing is a fine Grade II listed, Edwardian Baroque building, situated in a prime city centre location and home to an impressive collection of art. It is the North East's principal art gallery and its exhibition programme, renowned for bringing the biggest names in art to the North East, includes historic, modern and contemporary works.

The gallery's displays feature important 18th and 19th century paintings including dramatic landscapes by John Martin. The gallery features a superb Marble Hall which has provided companies from all over the North East with a spectacular, high-profile venue for social functions, product launches and PR events. It can be hired as a reception area allowing guests to explore the Laing's remarkable permanent collections and special exhibitions.

The upper floor boasts a beautiful Rotunda, offset by four large exhibition galleries. There is also a well equipped function room situated in the heart of the gallery within easy reach of its collections.

The Laing has a spacious function room, set in the heart of the Gallery, within easy reach of the Laing's permanent collections and special exhibitions. The purpose built room is available to hire for training, conferences and PR events.

Situated in the middle of Newcastle's lively city centre, the Laing provides an ideal location for evening receptions.
