Marlowe Playwright Alissa Anne Jeun Yi brings her solo spoken-word and rap show to the Tom Thumb Theatre after performances at the Faversham Fringe, Camden People’s Theatre and POW! Thanet.
About the show
Love Songs is a hilarious and heartbreaking coming-of-age story that interweaves spoken-word, killer tunes, hoola-hooping and rap with the autobiographical poems of a hopeless romantic. A classic tale of classroom crushes and awkward bedroom encounters – a cautionary guidebook on how to navigate the millennial dating scene – and a glimpse under the covers at our deepest desires and the all-consuming fear of ending up alone.
16+ Explores adult themes and sexual violence.
Supported by Camden People's Theatre and developed through the Soho Writer's Lab.

Praise from previous audiences
“Totally engaging from the warm up to the end. One of those shows I will think about for years…a very gifted communicator. Technically brilliant.”
“Dealt with a difficult subject matter with humour and pathos.”
