Monmouthshire Children’s Tennis Academy Welcomes Budding Tennis Aces

The tennis season will be marked in Monmouthshire this spring-time, with the Junior Tennis Coaching Academy set to begin at Chepstow’s St Pierre Marriott Hotel & Country Club.

The 10-week course offers the perfect opportunity to get your kids active and inspired ahead of Wimbledon 2018, with classes beginning on Saturday 21st April and running until Saturday 30th June.

Sporting activities like the Junior Tennis Coaching Academy are great for helping youngsters to develop a variety of life skills during their formative years, like working with others and building relationships.

The academy is run by fully accredited Lawn Tennis Association coach Kari Davies, who has a wealth of experience when it comes to running tennis coaching sessions for people of all ages – having planned and implemented classes for children aged 18 months old and above.

Discussing the benefits that the academy can bring to those taking part, she said: “This provides a great opportunity for children to explore tennis in a fun and safe environment that encourages them to get fit and make friends at the same time!

“Sport is a great way for kids to interact with one another as they improve both their social and technical skills through learning and playing together.

“This introduction to tennis could spark the beginning of new friendships and a life-long love affair with this wonderful sport!”

Classes last an hour and are available for children aged 4-11 years old, with sessions being tailored to suit the competency levels of the different age ranges.
