Cheeseburn: ten acres of landscaped gardens, contemporary sculptures from around the world and unique sound installations throughout the grounds.
Some key events happening over this year’s open weekends:
- 2017 Gillian Dickinson North East Young Sculptor winner Peter Hamner's installation, Plato's Lair
- Martin Eccles' "Trace No Trace" sound work
- Proposals from the 2018 Gillian Dickinson North East Young Sculptor finalists – vote for your favourite during the May open weekends. The winner will be announced during the June open weekends
- Designers, makers and creatives from the Mushroom Works will be exhibiting and selling bespoke items in the courtyard
- Chinese artist Qi Yafeng's sculptures, photographs and a video performance
- Bennett Hogg's sound installation
- A figurative sculpture exhibition developed for the Great Exhibition of the North using 3D scanning and printing
Cheeseburn is open to the public on 19th, 20th, 26th, 27th & 28th May, 30th June, 1st, 7th & 8th July, 25th, 26th & 27th August, 1st and 2nd September.
