Zulu (1964), arguably the greatest ever British war film, is back on the big screen for one performance only at Folkestone's 403-seat Silver Screen Cinema on Saturday 30th June, Armed Forces Day.
Are you one of the lucky few who can remember enjoying Zulu how it was meant to be experienced; on the big screen?
Featuring an all-star cast, including Stanley Baker and Sir Michael Caine, Cy Enfield’s stirring epic is forged from the timeless virtues of courage, honour and pride.
Based on real events, Zulu depicts the heroic defence of a small mission station at Rorke’s Drift, South Africa in 1879 by a garrison of 150 Royal Engineers under attack from 4000 fearless Zulu warriors.
Eleven Victoria Crosses were awarded to the defenders; the most ever received for a single action by one regiment.
Enjoy the spectacle of Zulu in Folkestone’s vintage 403-seat cinema located within the historic seaside resort’s town hall.
Book allocated seating in the stalls or balcony and take a nostalgic step back in time, on Armed Forces Day, when picture and venue perfectly complement each other and SSAFA - The Armed Forces Charity come out winning.
