KidZania London, the indoor city run by kids, is launching a brand new series of monthly events, designed to spotlight the very best children’s authors and inspire a passion for reading and literacy among 4 to 12 year olds. The Book of The Month events, hosted in partnership with publishing partner, Little Tiger Group, will allow parents and children to get up close and personal with their favourite authors, who will lead a series of fun, interactive workshops for young visitors at KidZania, as well as giving fans the chance to purchase signed copies of their favourite books.
Book of the Month will kick off at KidZania on Saturday 16 June, giving families the chance to meet Spynosaur series author, Guy Bass. Confirmed events for June, July, August and September are as follows:
Guy Bass, Spynosaur, Saturday 16 June
Top spy-entists put the mind of a secret agent inside the body of a dinosaur to create the first ever Super Secret Agent Dinosaur. His codename: Spynosaur. Together with his daughter Amber, this prehistoric hero protects THE world from villainy. Author Guy Bass will be putting budding secret agents through their paces to see if they have what it takes to join Spynosaur's Department 6 - can you spot the lie, decipher the code and be initiated into the agency?
Little Tiger Summer Picture Book Event: Celebrating the top 4 picture books for under 4s, Saturday 14 July
Aimed at younger visitors to the city, Little Tiger will be celebrating four fabulous picture books for under fours to enjoy this summer. Colourful, creative and captivating, the four books rated as the best summer reads are; Octopants (by Suzy Senior and Claire Powell), Look Out It’s a Dragon (by Jonny Lambert), Blue Monster Wants It All (by Jeanne Willis and Jenni Desmond) and Cock-a-doodle-poo (by Steve Smallman and Florence Weiser). To celebrate, Little Tiger will be hosting a series of arts and crafts in the Library for parents and their children to enjoy together.
