“Work a lifetime to pay off a house. You finally own it, and there’s nobody to live in it.”
Willy Loman is an ordinary man, the New England man, a travelling salesman with his sell-by date in sight. For thirty-six years he’s been on the road, working hard to keep a roof over his family.
With every step he’s trusted in the system to treat him fairly, but as he reaches for his dreams one last time, will his faith finally be rewarded?
Royal Exchange Artistic Director Sarah Frankcom (HAPPY DAYS, OUR TOWN) directs Don Warrington (DEATH IN PARADISE, KING LEAR) as Willy Loman in Arthur Miller’s classic about striving for what’s out of reach and the downfall of the American Dream.
