America’s Musical Journey: Free One-Off Public Cinema Screening in London

America’s Musical Journey, the new documentary film celebrating the cultural and
musical heritage of the United States, will hold its UK consumer premiere
on Wednesday 23^rd January at the Odeon Cinema,
Covent Garden, London. 

Narrated by Morgan Freeman, America’s Musical Journey follows
singer-songwriter Aloe Blacc as he traces the roots of American music visiting
iconic cities including
New Orleans, Louisiana; Chicago, Illinois; New York City, New York; Nashville,
Tennessee and Miami, Florida.

America’s Musical journey, produced in partnership by MacGillivray
Freeman Films and Brand USA, the destination marketing organisation for the
United States, sees Grammy Award®-nominated singer and songwriter Aloe Blacc trace
the footsteps of Louis Armstrong through the colourful locales and cultures
where America’s music was born. Visiting some of the most iconic musical
locations in the United States, from New Orleans, Louisiana to Chicago, Illinois,
America's Musical Journey explores the collision of cultures that gave birth to
American art forms such as jazz, the blues, country, rock and roll, hip-hop,
and more.
