Our volunteers have rescued and restored 30 old textile mill steam engines, some of the machines which once powered the cotton mills and woollen mills of the north of England. Our oldest engine is now 180 years old and most are over 100 years old. Some of our engines are now unique – the only one of this type left in the whole world! Most will be running in steam on these 2 days only. Come and see these magnificent monsters back in action once again.Free admission (donations to the Society are welcome) and free unlimited parking on the car park of Morrison's Supermarket site.
