Book your ticket now to join local author Alexander Bagnall at the impressive Fetcham Park House for a fascinating talk celebrating the launch of his new book: “The Deepdene: A Landscape Rediscovered”. The talk starts at 7pm, join us at 6.30pm for refreshments.
Tickets are priced at £5 and can be booked via Dorking Halls. Each ticket’s value will be redeemable against a copy of the book (total price £15) on the night, as well as a free drink and some light refreshments at Fetcham Park House. We only have facilities to take cash only for the books on the night.
The book explores the rich history of the owners of the Deepdene Estate and the recent unearthing of The Deepdene Trail by the local community. Featuring tales of owners like the Hope family, holders of the infamous Hope Diamond and responsible for the success and the decline of the Deepdene Estate. Alexander Bagnall, has overseen the efforts to rescue the surviving remnants of the Deepdene and his talk looks to express the Hope family motto “Hope Not Broken”.
