Enjoy a free film screening and learn about a range of activities and initiatives to eliminate plastic waste in Walsall with environmental activist Cal Major.
The Midcounties Co-operative is bringing the local community together to take action against plastic waste at a free event at Walsall College on Tuesday 20th August (1.15pm-4.30pm), which includes an exclusive free film screening.
There will be a screening of the film Vitamin Sea, which follows environmental campaigner Cal Major's epic attempt to paddleboard from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise awareness about plastic pollution.
Cal Major will then lead a Q&A with Dr Rashid Gatrad, founder of Walsall Against Single Use Plastics campaign, to empower residents, businesses and students in Walsall to become green pioneers by committing to using less single-use plastics and participating in community clean-ups.
Refreshments will be provided, and you will have plenty of opportunities to discuss, network and get involved locally to help tackle single use plastic.
Those interested in attending can register for free tickets at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/vitamin-sea-film-qa-with-cal-major-walsall-against-single-use-plastic-tickets-68538525575.
