On November 12th 2019, The Forgiveness Project returns to the Royal Geographical Society for their 9th Annual Lecture. The Forgiveness Project’s Founder, Marina Cantacuzino will be delivering 'Power and Persuasion: the urgent need for restorative narratives in unforgiving times'.
Marina will explore the intersection between turbulence and forgiveness. Amid a seemingly global rush towards hate, division and insularity, she will consider how forgiveness and humanising narratives can break cycles of conflict, transform relationships and restore hope.
Marina will be joined on stage by Jacob Dunne and Joan Scourfield who will be sharing their personal experience of restorative justice, and exploring how dialogue can be a powerful force in ending cycles of violence.
The evening will be chaired by award winning documentary filmmaker and Professor at the University of the Arts in London, Pratap Rughani. Having filmed in areas of conflict all over the world, Pratap is interested in how people of radically different perspectives can come together to develop deeper listening and dialogue.
