Hear from our Director, Harriette Hale, about the exciting developments we’re making to The Academy whilst enjoying an evening of free classes and schmoozing with your fellow artists.

The studios you call home are getting a HUGE upgrade - more space, more facilities, more of what you need to allow your creative genius to flow. We’re deep into our Crowdfunding campaign, raising the funds to put these plans into action. This is your opportunity to come and experience the reality of what these all important funds will help us achieve as you make your donation.

Refreshments will be provided as well as yoga mats for those that need them. You’ll have the opportunity to continue mingling if you don’t wish to do every class, and our amazing Academy team will be on hand to answer your questions about the campaign.

Where does your money go?

Every penny will help us implement the upgrades to The Academy so we can continue to meet the demand for centrally located, affordable, high quality creative spaces. You can expect to enjoy:

The demand for rehearsal spaces is growing all the time, especially since studios (particularly those in Camden borough) have been closing down left and right since 2014.

We already have a waiting list of dance, music, theatre, and fitness organisations requiring space for their ventures, and we are striving to update our facilities to accommodate their needs and help support their businesses and communities.

Our goal is to build more studios to house more creatives and give them more and better spaces to hold their amazing rehearsals, classes, workshops, jam sessions, photo shoots, and meetings. With more space, we’ll also be in a better position to offer free or subsidized rehearsal space to up-and-coming theatre and dance companies, or to offer free workshops for Camden residents who might normally feel excluded from the arts.

Our studios are unique because we cater to all artistic industries: theatre, film, dance, music, visual art, photography, and even health and fitness - and we focus on building a community. Clients who use the studios always comment on the energy of the building, and how powerful and inspiring it always is when the studios are busy and bustling.

This is an exciting opportunity for the studios to grow and advance, so that we can offer an enhanced experience for our clients: more studios, more amenities, and overall better value for money.
