2020 Wilmslow Half Marathon

The Christie Charity is delighted to
be the local lead charity for the 2020 Waters Wilmslow Half Marathon. Join Team
Christie and run towards a future without cancer!

The Christie charity is committed to
revolutionising the fight against cancer by funding world reaching research,
treatment and care, education and additional support services.

This year all funds raised from the
Waters Wilmslow Half Marathon will go towards the new Christie at Macclesfield
appeal.  The Christie charity is aiming to raise £23 million
for the construction of a new centre in Macclesfield where over 1500 Christie
patients a year will be able to receive outstanding cancer care, closer to
home.

The new centre will transform cancer
care in East Cheshire, providing local specialist access to radiotherapy,
chemotherapy and clinical trials, saving thousands of patients the stress of
travelling long journeys to Manchester for treatment.

We are looking for incredible people
to join #TeamChristie at the 2020 Wilmslow Half Marathon. We will be with you
every step of the way with fundraising and training advice, and all of our
runners will receive a Christie t-shirt to wear on race day.   We will also be there to cheer you over the
finish line and ensure you have an unforgettable race day experience.

The money you raise will make a
tremendous difference to the lives of cancer patients and their families right
here in the North West and across the UK.
