Sun, 22 March 2020 - Mon, 23 March 2020
12pm-3.30pm
£50.00
These courses will take place in Ouzel Valley Park, by kind permission of the Parks Trust. This beautiful park’s mixture of hedgerows, meadows and riverside make it a great location for suburban foraging.
We'll meet at the Simpson play area car park. The course starts with a short introduction on what to look for and a brief of the Countryside Act.
Then we’ll set off on a roughly 2.5 hour walk around the fields, hedgerows and riverside teaching you how to identify the different plants and mushrooms we find.
We'll stop along the way for some homemade refreshments such as our lovely hogweed and wild garlic soup.
Afterwards, we will end the day with a tasty wild food lunch based on what we have found and some pre-prepared homemade treats.
After the course, we will email you a list of everything we talk about on the day to help you to remember what you have learnt.
Please see website for full details of times and further course dates at this venue.
