The workshop is a mixture of demonstrations, instructions and feedback. All materials are supplied.
This painting class is based at Hill of Tarvit Mansion, which was built in 1906 by Frederick Sharp as a family home to host his family’s substantial collection of art, silver, furniture, ceramics and porcelain. Today it’s one of the few complete collections still remaining in its original place.
Designed by Robert Lorimer, Hill of Tarvit Mansion is an architectural, design and state-of-the-art treasure in its own right with magnificent wood panelling and plasterwork. The quality and detail of the house is reflected in the landscaped gardens and grounds, combining true grandness with the comforts of a modern family home of its time.
The course includes:
Light lunches and refreshments on Saturday and Sunday
Tuition from 10am–1pm and 2–5pm on Saturday and Sunday
Classes will be held in the Conservatory, Great Hall and the Gardens
