Summer Steamings at Bolton Steam Museum

Our volunteers have rescued and restored 30 old stationary steam engines - some of the engines which one powered the cotton mills and woollen mills of the north of England. Most will be running in steam on these 2 days only. Our oldest engine is 180 years old and most are over 100 year old. Some engines are now unique - the only one of this type left in the whole world!
