Luath Press and the Gaelic Books Council are delighted to launch Cuibhle an Fhortain, the new short story collection from Gaelic author Mòrag Law.
Fate – fickle, mysterious and sometimes very cruel. From the outback of Australia to the Hebrides, from a city casino to the confines of sheltered housing, this collection of stories shows the hand of Fate at work in the lives and relationships of a wide variety of characters.
Returning to her native language of Scottish Gaelic, Mòrag's stories will leave you with as many questions as answers and make you think anew about the effect of Fate on all our lives. She will be talking about reconnecting with her native language and the need for more accessible fiction for Gaelic learners.
Admission is FREE and all are welcome. Complimentary refreshments will be served. There will be a Q&A after the author talk and books will be on sale, which Mòrag will be happy to sign.
