Picture Pawfect Pet Competition

We love animals here at Birmingham
St Mary’s Hospice and know how important pets are to their humans! We very much
miss the wonderful animals that came into our Day Hospice and joined us on the
Inpatient Unit like dogs, shetland ponies and skunks, all to provide a little
animal therapy for our patients. Until we’re able to bring animal therapy back
to the Hospice, we want to bring a big smile to our supporters’ faces and help
raise vital funds for Birmingham St Mary’s with your pet photos!

How does the competition work? 

It costs £3 to enter and you can enter one photo of your pet, per category! We
have 5 different categories that you can enter your purrfect pet into
including:

- Cutest Pet
- Pet in Action
- Cheesiest Grin
- Best Friends
- Halloween/Autumn Themed   

Judges including staff and volunteers at the Hospice, will
determine the top 3 of each category. The top 3 will then be put to a public
vote via our Facebook Page from the 3rd – 8th November . The photo with the
most likes from each category will be crowned the winner! The photo with the
most votes overall out of any category will also win an extra bonus prize!

your name, picture and the category/categories you are entering.

What are the prizes?

1st place winners from each category will receive a certificate,
rosette and pet goody bag! If you come 2nd or 3rd in each category you will receive a certificate
& rosette that you can proudly display!

How will I be making a difference to hospice
care?

As restrictions continue to be tightened due to the Covid-19
pandemic, your support is needed now more than ever! Our fundraising
campaigns/events continue to be cancelled or impacted to comply with government
rules, however hospice care cannot be restricted and we need to continue to
raise the £9 million needed a year to run our hospice services.

With over 64% of our funding coming from voluntary funds, you
really do make a difference to individuals living with life-limiting illness
across Birmingham and Sandwell. By taking part in the Picture Pawfect Pet
Competition you can help people to continue to receive free care and support
from our amazing doctors and nurses in the Hospice, in the community and within
people’s homes – thank you.
