Drawing upon pieces in the collection, documentary sources and artistic depictions, this talk will examine the production, use and effectiveness of arms and armour during this turbulent period.?
Keith Dowen is Assistant Curator at the Royal Armouries and author of 'Arms and Armour of the English Civil Wars'. He has a particular interest in the production and supply of armour during the 17th century and the role of armoured cavalry on the battlefield.
