World-class classical music in the heart of Herts
The Artistic Directors and Trustees of Hertfordshire Festival of Music are delighted to announce this year’s festival, which takes place from 4th to 10th of June. Postponed last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, HFoM 2021 is particularly special as for many people it will be the first time they have enjoyed live music in over a year.
Now in its fifth edition, the Hertfordshire Festival of Music has grown rapidly from a small weekend event to a major summer celebration of classical music, based in and around the attractive historic county town of Hertford.
Concerts and recitals, talks and guided walks, education and outreach projects, events for children and families. Some events are free and there are discounted tickets for students and U18s. All events are covid-secure.
Featured artists: Chloe Hanslip (violin), Danny Driver (piano), Judith Weir CBE (composer), Albion String Quartet, Fontanella Recorder Consort, Matthew Sharp (cello/voice), ZRI (classical-gypsy-klezmer band), Hertfordshire Festival Orchestra, Florian Mitrea (piano), Tom Hammond (conductor)
