10 am - 4 pm
FREE
Our volunteers have rescued and restored 30 old stationary steam
engines - some of the engines which once powered the cotton mills
ond woollen mills of the north of England. Our oldest engine is
now over 180 years old and most are over 100 years old! Most
will be running is steam on our occasional Steaming Days listed
below. The Museum is normally closed at other times, apart from
the volunteers' woking days most Wednesdays and Sundays, when
visitors are welcome but the engines will not be running in steam.
(You are advised to ring first to check that someone will be
there!)
