Summer Fair at Missenden Abbey

Join us for our exciting annual Summer Fair at Missenden Abbey on Sunday 17th July from 11am - 4pm and help us raise money for the Florence Nightingale Hospice. We have a wide range of activities and entertainment for all the family to enjoy.

FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE HOSPICE

Florence Nightingale Hospice provides a range of palliative and end-of-life care services to people in Buckinghamshire and parts of Oxfordshire and south Bedfordshire who have life-limiting illnesses such as chronic lung conditions, cancer and neurological conditions. In addition, the Day Hospice offers physical, therapeutic and emotional support to people who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness, but who are able to live independently at home. The Charity recruits and manages a team of over 400 volunteers who support both the Hospice and the Charity.

TOMBOLA

A huge range of prizes to be won at the Missenden Abbey tombola stand. All money raised will be donated to the Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity.

CRAFT AND GIFT STALLS

Come and support some local businesses and have a browse through a huge selection of over 60 craft and gift stalls.

There will be everything from handmade gifts, books, accessories, children’s toys and much more.

FOOD

You’ll be spoilt for choice for food selections, with options including, cheese toasties, pizza, pasta, Mediterranean salads, Cypriot cuisine, ice cream and more.

ENTERTAINMENT

- BEZERKAZ CIRCUS PERFORMERS

We are extremely excited to welcome the Bezerkaz Circus Performers to the fair this year. They will be providing entertainment throughout the fair as well as in the entertainment arena. With giant bubbles, an acrobatic balancing duo and a stilt walker; a spectacular performance that’s surely not to be missed.

TWISTOPHER

Professor Twistopher’s Punch & Judy show includes the traditional characters, Mr Punch and his wife Judy, with their baby, plus many more. In between his performances, Twistopher will be offering balloon creations for all children to enjoy.

TRINITY THEATRE ARTS

Don’t miss this show stopping performance from Trinity Theatre Arts who will be performing a medley of musical theatre, commercial and contemporary pieces.

PONY RIDES

Ever wanted to ride on a pony? Well you’re in luck. Pony Pursuits will be attending and it’s the perfect activity for children to enjoy. So be sure to make your way down to our stunning grounds and take a ride.

AMUSEMENTS

Enjoy a range of amusements including a coconut shy, hook-a-duck, mega slide, merry-go-round, bungee jump trampolines and bumper carz.

SORAYA RAY

Soraya Ray is a talented young singer/songwriter who will be singing an array of songs with her guitar, performing some modern classics as well as a few of her own creations.

FACE PAINTING

A Summer Fair wouldn’t be complete without face and nail painting, who are raising money for the SAASS.
