An opportunity for locals and those who hold Cumbrae very close to their heart to come together and share their stories while picking up some skills in multi-media performance. You do not need to have had any previous experience to get involved.

Hosted in the garden of The Garrison, Stravaig Theatre welcome all to a fun filled, creative afternoon suitable for all ages. The workshop will begin in the morning with some activities that are sure to get the creative juices flowing. Then, using the local history and landscape we will create multi-media art together. This will culminate into a performative film which will be combined with a separate audio performance which listeners can enjoy as they explore the island.

At it's heart, the final piece will be full of your stories. We also encourage other local artists and musicians to join in and share their work which we would love to integrate into the final film and audio performance.

Not into being in front of a camera? No problem! Get involved by being part of the production team, conducting interviews or simply sharing a story or two. We will be supporting each participant fully, so whether you've never worked a camera before or aren't experienced in speaking in public, we will be with you the whole way.

There will be a lunch break but please bring your own packed lunch (or buy from the local businesses.) We'll provide the essentials i.e tea, coffee and soft juice.

We will be under a Gazebo in The Garrison garden, however we will be outdoors so dress according to the weather.

We do ask that participants under 16 years old be accompanied by an adult. We also ask that participants under 18 years old have a parent or guardian sign a permission form to allow us to film them for public use.

We would like to thank North Ayrshire Council for making this fantastic event possible and for supporting the arts.

Also thank you to The Garrison team for allowing us to host the event in their garden.
