Midsummer night. An enchanted forest. Puck and his musical fairy band told a tale of lovers, mechanicals, and magical mayhem. The critically-acclaimed Pantaloons Theatre Company tell this timeless comic tale in their own distinctive and anarchic style.

“Ingenious… The madness of Shakespeare’s Dream came through with such enthusiasm and natural comedy… I can’t really offer enough praise.” (Northern Echo)

Bring a low back chair and a picnic and spend a glorious summer’s evening watching this funny and magical production of one of Shakespeare’s best plays. Performed in the open air, by an all male cast with Elizabethan costume, music and dance, this is undoubtedly one of the hottest tickets of the summer.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream will start at 3pm, attendees can enter the event site at 1:30pm in order to pick their viewing spot.

Advanced ticket holders will be able to enter the Park in their vehicles via Station Lodge (AL9 5AE) from 1:30pm on Thursday 31st August in order to park closer to the Theatre venue.

Anyone with advanced tickets wishing to spend the day in the grounds and therefore arriving before 1:30pm will be asked to park in our normal visitor car park, known as George’s Car Park (AL9 5HX) and walk to the location. Alternatively you can drive round to Station Lodge after 1:30pm.

Anyone wishing to purchase tickets on the day can do so at one of the normal kiosks earlier on in the day or at the event entrance to the Elephant Dell from 1:30pm onwards, if still available.

The Elephant Dell is located in a naturally shaped grass bowl in the grounds of Hatfield House. This location is about a 2 or 3 minute walk across grass, from the car park accessed through Station Lodge. The nearest toilets are located in Stable Yard which is a 5 to 10 minute walk from the Elephant Dell. Drop off and Disabled Parking is available closer to the site, however, there is still a very short walk over the grass from here.

Book early to avoid missing out!

Adult £13 / Child £10
