Bird Watching Basics

This workshop is designed for complete beginners who want an introduction to birds and bird watching.

Starting in the classroom we discuss bird families, terminology, tips for birding in different habitats, ID tips and the use of optics and guide books. The afternoon will be spent putting our new found skills into practice. Booking essential.

Please bring suitable outdoor clothing and footwear, a note pad and pen and binoculars if you have them (these can be borrowed from us on the day). Guide books and telescope provided.

Lunch not provided, please bring lunch with you or purchase from The Lookout Café on the day.
