Birdland Park and Gardens, Rissington Road, Bourton on the Water, Gloucestershire, GL54 2BN
Sat, 24 October 2020 - Sun, 01 November 2020
10am-5pm
Let your imaginations fly wild during October Half Term holidays, with a special Halloween themed week of activities.
Superstitious twitchers can discover why owls are considered to be so wise, where the legend of the phoenix came from, and find out which bird’s call the Romans believed meant imminent death.
Half Term visitors after something a bit more spooky for all hallows eve can uncover some of the avian world’s most disgusting characters; from blood-sucking songbirds and puking penguins to stinking storks and spitting swallows. Keepers at the Bourton-on-the-Water wildlife attraction will reveal revolting stories about some of the world’s most fearsome flyers.
The Bourton-on-the-Water attraction is home to over 500 birds ranging from England’s only breeding colony of king penguins and awesome birds of prey to parrots, cassowaries and cranes in a mix of free-flying and enclosed habitats.
