Showcasing the music of Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers this sextet features some of finest talent on the British Jazz scene. An exciting frontline of Rory Ingham (Trombone), Rueben Fowler (Trumpet) and Helena Kay (Tenor Saxophone) is propelled by a powerhouse rhythm section: Tom Cawley (Piano), Connor Chapman (Double Bass) and Luke Fowler (Drums). This will be an evening of hard-bop with a frighteningly fresh feel; wildly high-energy and unbelievably swinging.
