Head of BHF Cymru, Adam Fletcher, hosts this special pre-recorded edition of Live & Ticking for the Swansea Science Festival and highlights some of the BHF-funded research taking place in Wales.
We're joined by Professor Chris George, from Swansea University, who shares his research into understanding abnormal heart rhythms, or arrhythmias, which can be fatal and how this work can lead to new ways of treating people with life-threatening conditions.
We’ll also hear from dad of three, Leigh Manley, who shares his experience of being diagnosed with arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) and being fitted with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD).
