Now in its fifth season, the Piccadilly Chamber Music Series is delighted to present five concerts exploring the chamber music of Johannes Brahms alongside music of other great romantic composers who influenced this towering genius - or who were directly influenced by Brahms himself.

The final concert of our 2022 series features the well-loved 'Trout Quintet' by Schubert with the added dimension of double-bass, concluding with Louise Farrenc’s acclaimed Piano Quintet in A minor for the same forces, with a ravishingly beautiful slow movement. These two hugely appealing works are linked together with a performance of Brahms’ Scherzo in C minor for violin and piano from the ‘FAE Sonata’.

Tonight’s musicians have collectively performed with many of the world’s greatest orchestras, conductors and in the most prestigious Chamber Music Festivals in the UK and abroad. Their breathtaking range of combined musical experience and virtuosity will ensure this thrilling programme is a night to remember!

Set in the heart of London’s West End, The Piccadilly Chamber Music Series provides an exciting new platform for some of the UK’s most outstanding musicians and a new opportunity for audiences to hear some of the world’s greatest chamber music masterpieces performed in an inspiring setting. Each concert showcases some of the UK’s greatest musicians in displays of enormous virtuosity and sublime calmness.
