Renowned for his melodic and warmly lyrical trumpet playing Chris Batchelor returns to SJN at the Hive with a trulyexceptional group of musicians: Margrit Hassler (viola), John Parricelli (guitar) Steve Watts (double bass) and Paul Clarvis (percussion). Music drawing on influences from a wide range of styles: East African guitar band grooves, wistful European folk themes and sinuous Arabic lines. This unique combination of musicians and instrumentation, the deep bonds which these players have formed through years of playing together, and the subtle sensitivity of their inviting sound makes Zoetic a special experience.
