Christmas Day Lunch at the Old Ship Hotel

It’s that time of the year again where everyone is asking ‘What shall we do for Christmas Lunch?’ We all love getting together with nearest and dearest, although, as our favourite Christmas song asks ‘…are you sure you’ve got the room to spare inside…?’

This year, why not let us find the room, do all of the cooking, and even the washing up!

When you book a table at the Old Ship Hotel, you can be assured we will have thought of everything from the turkey, to the tinsel. We’ve stocked up the bars with everyone’s favourite tipple and there will be a glass of bubbly on hand to toast!

No matter the size of your party, we will have the perfect setting for you. Bring the whole family, enjoy a fabulous 4 course meal with wine and a present from Santa for the kids. The hotel bar will be open from 11am and you can choose a 1pm or 2pm sitting.

Starters:

-Caramelised leek and potato soup (gf, df, vegan)

-Smoked salmon, dill crème fraiche, roquette salad (gf)

-Ham hock and pommery mustard terrine, carrot, shallot and caper salsa, toasted ciabatta (df)

Mains:

-Turkey, roast potatoes, maple roasted root vegetables, Brussel sprouts, pigs in blankets, cranberry stuffing slice, sage and thyme gravy

-Slow braised beef feather blade, maple roasted root vegetables, Brussel sprouts, pigs in blankets, sag and thyme gravy, Yorkshire pudding

-Butternut squash and pumpkin seed nut roast, roast potatoes, maple roasted root vegetables, Brussel sporuts, sage and thyme gravy (gf, df, vegan)

-Orange and parsley marinated salmon, crushed new potatoes, maple roasted root vegetables, dill cream sauce (gf)

Desserts:

-Chocolate and salted caramel tart with a white chocolate mousse

-Classic Christmas pudding with brandy sauce

-Selection of cheeses served with water biscuits, onion chutney, grapes and celery
