Step into Millington Hall Farm's wild meadow marquee for a one-of-a-kind baking competition, featuring expert baking tips and tricks, fun challenges and plenty of food & drink along the way! Who will be crowned top baker and take home the Big Cheshire Bake-Off crown?

Led by the farm's expert baking tutor, bakers will take part in three competition sessions;

Guided Bake Session - The expert baker leads a step by step bake-along of a classic recipe. A chance to grab some real-time tips and tricks from the pro.

Challenge Bake Session - Can bakers closely follow the instructions for this tricky recipe, designed to test amateur bakers' abilities? Might it be a delicate pastry, colourful macaron or chocolatey profiterole?

Decorating Session - The bakers are let loose at the decorating station, to carefully select the best embellishments for their two bakes, and prepare them for judging!

The decorated bakes will be judged in a light-hearted judging session, and the top baker anointed. Prizes are on offer for the best bakes of the day!

As well as enjoying a welcome glass of fizz, a series of canapé snacks from local producers and teas and coffees throughout the session, bakers will finish off the session by digging in to (or boxing up!) all the bakes made on the day, taking a seat at the long table with their fellow competitors and soaking up the idyllic views of the surrounding valley. The local heroes bar is open throughout, where bakers can pick up beverages from Cheshire breweries and craft distillers.

A perfect day out gift to share with a date, a friend or family member, and a relaxed opportunity to meet like-minded baking fans in the area. The farm sources as many of their experience ingredients as possible from Cheshire suppliers, so bakers are supporting local too!

This experience is part of a season of food and drink events across 2024 to introduce this new, beautiful farm venue to the region.
