Clarks Village gets set for Easter family fun

Families visiting Clarks Village this Easter will be treated to free craft workshops, an Easter trail, and a selection of local pop-up artisan traders.

As the Easter holidays begin, the Somerset shopping outlet will be hosting free ‘make and take’ craft workshops. Held in the outlet’s Homeware Pavilion, the sessions will take place between 11am and 4pm on Good Friday (March 29) and Easter Saturday (March 30) with no booking required. At the sessions, children will be able to get hands on with arts and crafts, creating their own chickens, rabbits, lambs and suncatcher butterflies out of various materials.

The following week, Clarks Village will launch a family fun Easter trail with guests tasked to hunt out 11 Easter eggs hidden within the window displays of the outlet’s brands. Once all the eggs have been discovered, guests can claim a Lindt chocolate treat as their prize. Free trail activity sheets can be collected from the Clarks Village Guest Services team across the outlet, who will be wearing bright pink for the duration of the trail, or from the Guest Services Hub located in Pear Court. The trail launches on Easter Monday (April 1) and will run through until Sunday April 8, subject to availability.

To mark the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, Clarks Village will welcome several local artisan traders selling a selection of hand-made produce. The local businesses will include Wells fudge makers ‘Go Fudge Yourself’, treats from Shepton Mallet’s Sean the Chef, Glastonbury gin from the Somerset Crafts Distillery, and gourmet scotch eggs from Bridgwater’s Chickies. In addition, the line-up includes local animal artist Emma Keys Portraits, Yeovil’s Shelden Glass showcasing its fused glass products and Smiley Myley selling its luxury lifestyle products for dogs.

The pop-up stalls will be making appearances at Clarks Village between Thursday March 28 and Sunday March 31, with the full timetable available at https://clarksvillage.co.uk/easter-traders-24.

Chris Davis, Centre Director of Clarks Village, commented: “It is our pleasure to welcome guests to visit Clarks Village over the Easter holidays. Our line-up of brands with exclusive-to-outlet discounts and dining are a huge draw - alongside our adventure play park, outdoor space, and Central Square Gardens, which comes into its own during Spring.

“We know that our guests have enjoyed browsing artisan stalls on their Clarks Village trips, from our previous successes, and we’re sure the pop-ups will be a welcome addition this Easter, as well as our Easter egg trail and craft workshops.”
