Victoria Day is back on
Saturday 8 June from 10am to 4pm in Aldershot town centre, with the carnival
parade stepping off at 11am. This year's theme is 'animals' and we’ll be having
a roar-some day, full of fun free activities!

Visit Union Street,
Wellington Street and Princes Gardens between 10am and 4pm for a wild
celebration of fun, free activities, fantastic craft and community stalls, fair
rides, live entertainment and delicious food and drink.

Head to Princes
Gardens for live music, dance and workshops on the bandstand throughout the
day, animal themed make-and-take crafts, silly street theatre, a quiet
storytelling area, fair rides and much more. Plus, don’t miss our circus skills
area and aerial performers alongside Princes Gardens Surgery and
a small classic car display in Princes Way from
12.30pm.

Over on Union Street,
there’s wild stilt walkers, animal puppet performers, the Giant Bubble Man,
face painters, hands-on creature encounters, Lego building and lots more live
music and dance. There’s even the chance to meet Captain John Voyage on his
tropical tricycle, and his banana smuggling Orangutan puppet, Mr Business!

This year, the carnival parade will be bigger and
more colourful than ever before, with spectacular costumes and puppets. The
amazing ‘Carnival of the Animals’ leaves Princes Hall at 11am, ending at the
Naafi roundabout.
 Aldershot’s own Queen
Victoria, Betty Bryce will be leading the procession of over 800 local people.
