Celebrate a magical Christmas by the sea at The Hermitage Hotel, with festive feasts, cosy coastal charm, live entertainment and heart-warming traditions from 23rd to 27th December.

Wednesday 23rd December
Arrive at leisure to a warm welcome from our team. Enjoy a Festive Afternoon Tea, including scones, jam and clotted cream between 2pm and 4pm. Spend the afternoon relaxing in the lounge or take a coastal walk. From 6pm pre-dinner drinks will be served in the lounge, followed by a 3 course dinner and evening entertainment.

Christmas Eve
Start the day with a Full English Breakfast served from 8am to 10am. Spend the morning your way, relax in the lounge with a classic creamy hot chocolate, enjoy board games, or head out for a refreshing walk along the seafront and Jurassic Coast. From 2pm to 4pm, our Festive Afternoon Tea buffet will be served in the lounge. In the evening, join us for Champagne and canape reception at 6pm, followed by a 3 course festive dinner full of seasonal flavours. Later, enjoy live entertainment, or if you’re attending midnight mass, return to warm mince pies served with tea or coffee.

Christmas Day
A magical day to enjoy with family and friends. Our team of Christmas Elves will ensure everything is taken care of, so you can simply relax. Begin with a Bucks Fizz breakfast served from 7:30am to 9:30am, then enjoy the morning unwrapping gifts and celebrating your favourite traditions.
From midday, chilled Champagne will be served ahead of a traditional festive lunch, with all the trimmings. The Restaurant opens at 12:30pm (reservations required), with the option to pre-select your preferred wines. In the afternoon, Father Christmas will make a special visit to the lounge, followed by His Majesty the King’s Speech at 3pm, served alongside tea, coffee and Christmas cake.
The celebrations continue into the evening with a generous buffet of cold meats, fish platters and more from 7pm. Take your time and enjoy the evening’s entertainment at your own pace.

Boxing Day
After a Full English Breakfast served from 8am to 10am, the day is yours to enjoy. Take a stroll along the beach, explore the local sights, or browse the Boxing Day sales at your leisure. Lunch will be served from 12 noon with our indulgent Boxing Day Buffet. In the afternoon, why not book yourselves into the pantomime matinee at the Pavilion Theatre or take a seaside stroll. Upon your return, a warm pot of tea and a tempting cake buffet await. As evening settles in, join us for dinner and then a night at the races!

Sunday 27th December
Before we wish you a fond farewell, enjoy a hearty breakfast in the restaurant before travelling home.
