Festive Fizz Raceday at Exeter Racecourse

Christmas drinks, jump racing and live music. Friday in December just got a lot more interesting.

Kick off the festive season at Exeter Racecourse with an afternoon of racing, fizz, music and plenty of Christmas cheer on Haldon Hill.

Festive Fizz Raceday on Friday 4 December is a chance to swap the usual Christmas get-together for something a little different. Round up your friends, get the work crowd together or start the weekend early with an afternoon at the races.

There’s a full card of competitive jump racing as the National Hunt season heads into winter, with all the excitement of watching the horses thunder past the stands and plenty happening between races too.

Live music throughout the first half of the day will get things going, and festive outfits are very much encouraged. Christmas jumper, sparkle, sequins or the whole festive works – this is not the Friday for being shy.

And if you’re organising the office Christmas do, this could be your answer. Groups of 12 or more can take advantage of discounted tickets, so forget another year sitting around a restaurant table and take the Christmas party racing instead.

There are hospitality options too if you want to turn it into a bigger celebration.

Getting there is easy, with dedicated Greenslades buses from Exeter St Davids, Exeter City Centre and Newton Abbot Train Station. All three leave at 10.45am, with return buses departing the racecourse at 4.10pm.
