Lights of Life 2026 at Garden House Hospice Care

We never stop missing the people we love. And for many of
us, the festive season can make that sense of loss feel even stronger.

Lights of Life is a special opportunity to remember,
celebrate and reflect on the lives of friends, family and colleagues who are no
longer with us.

From 29 November for one week, our gardens will be
illuminated with hundreds of lights, each dedicated to someone special. Each
light is a symbol of remembrance, bringing warmth and light to our gardens
while helping us remember the people who will always hold a place in our
hearts.

Join us for our Lights of Life service in our beautifully
illuminated gardens for a special service on the 29th November, hosted by our
Clinical team, featuring:

•             Music
from Roxy Searle

•             Readings
from Garden House staff and families

•             Singing
from a local choir

•             A moment
of reflection and silence by candlelight

•             The
official switch-on of our Lights of Life

•             Time to
wander through the gardens and view the lights and dedication boards

Dedicate a light

You can dedicate a light in memory of someone special with a
minimum donation of £10.

Your loved one's name will be added to our special online
dedication page and printed on a dedication display within your chosen area*:

•             The
Orchard – a line of silver birch and willow trees, dotted with apple trees at
the bottom of our garden.

•             The
Woodland Walk – a secluded walkway lined with hazels and pines, where the
leaves crunch beneath your feet.

•             The
Sundial Circle – a peaceful area for reflection, surrounded by lavender and
centred around our sundial.

•             The
Christmas Tree – our very own planted Christmas tree, helping us reduce our
environmental impact and creating a beautiful focal point for your dedications.

Whether you dedicate a light, join us for the service or
simply take a moment to reflect, we hope Lights of Life provides a special
space to remember the people who mean so much to us.

Garden visits - Wednesday 2nd - Sunday 6th December, 5-7pm:

Our gardens will be open between these dates for you to come
along, either on your own, or with friends or family. The garden will be full
of soft fairy lights, each shining in memory of a loved one. You will also be
able find their names on the displays, light a candle in their memory and have
the opportunity to pause, reflect and think of the memories you shared
together.

Our friendly volunteers will be on hand to help find your
loved one’s name if needed or to dedicate an additional light on the evening.
To help maintain the peaceful atmosphere, visits are arranged in pre-booked
15-minute slots. If you would like to attend, please book your time in advance.
