Get ready to
pull on your Santa suit, reindeer antlers, or festive fancy dress and join
hundreds of supporters for the annual Christie Charity Festive Dash on Sunday
29 November 2026.

This year, The
Christie Charity are bringing the Christmas cheer to Wythenshawe Park. Walk,
jog, or run the 5K route – this Christmas cracker of an event promises festive
fun and cheer, all while raising vital funds for The Christie.

The Christie
Charity Festive Dash 2026 will raise money for our appeal to build a
new scanning centre at The Christie. We urgently need to
build a fit-for-purpose, modern scanning centre to give clinicians at The
Christie access to the latest scanning technology. Advanced imaging allows
experts to better understand the full extent of a patient’s disease, plan
treatment more precisely, monitor progress and improve outcomes.

The new
scanning centre will provide an enhanced space, improved patient experience and
access to cutting-edge equipment. This will be capable of supporting research
which will transform the future of cancer diagnosis and treatment.

What to
expect

The Festive
Dash is a family-friendly 5K route, perfect for all ages – and dogs are
welcome! Dress to impress in your festive best and help us fill Wythenshawe
Park with Santas, elves, reindeer, and snowmen.

On the day,
you can look forward to:

• Live festive entertainment including music acts


• Face painting for children (and big kids too!)


• Festive treats at the finish line

The event
village opens at 9.30am, giving you plenty of time to soak up the
festive mood before the dash sets off at 10.30am. The village closes at 12pm,
sending everyone home full of Christmas cheer.
