The spectacular backdrop of Hatfield House is the perfect setting for a delightful evening of Battle Proms classical music with a delicious picnic hamper of food and wine to enjoy. The music is provided by The New English Concert Orchestra and before they begin, Napoleonic Cavalry and Infantry displays entertain the crowd. The start of the music is signified by a vintage field gun firing a volley of shots and an LF Mark IX Spitfire display is carried out by Carolyn Grace to accompany the opening piece. The orchestra play a variety of rousing classical pieces such as Beethoven's Battle Symphony and Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture accompanied by live cannons and muskets. The celebration ends with Rule Britannia and more followed by a firework show
