Formerly the home of the Marquis de Ormonde, Cantley House Hotel is a privately owned, independently run, spacious 36 bedroom Victorian county house hotel. Originally built is 1880 and converted to a hotel in 1983 we have continued to carefully restore and improve the property over the years, whilst maintaining its many beautiful architectural features. Perfectly situated in the heart of the Berkshire countryside, our private gardens and the surrounding parklands guarantee a quiet and peaceful setting yet with easy access to some of the many fantastic tourist attractions Berkshire has to offer; Windsor Castle Legoland, Ascot Race Course, the historic town of Henley, numerous theatres to name but a few and for those looking for some retail therapy, the busy Oracle shopping centre is only a short drive away and London Paddington can be reached in just 50 minutes by train.



Cantley’s 36 bedrooms, including 3 suites combine all the traditional charm you would expect from a country house hotel setting with the highest expectations of modern living. All bedrooms and suites are en-suite and have been individually designed and furnished with antiques. The majority also have fantastic music systems, huge baths and power showers, many boast their own private patios and some even have Jacuzzi baths.



Miltons restaurant is Cantley House’s exceptional restaurant, situated in its own 17th century secluded courtyard and offers a fantastic array of modern British cuisine, sourcing most of its produce locally. Miltons offers an informal relaxed dining experience where you can enjoy comfortable sofas with subdued lighting all year round, and take full advantage of hazy summer evenings with some alfresco dining.
