Hurtwood Park Polo & Country Club

Cranleigh, Surrey, GU6 7SW

Polo Hospitality: One of the great benefits of a venue like Hurtwood Park is that it offers outstanding opportunities for corporate entertaining. Polo is well suited to creating a hospitable environment for business entertaining, as action is continuous, though not dominating. This allows a degree of choice for the spectator to watch or socialise in our fully licensed restaurant and bar. Further activities can also be made available at Hurtwood Park:

  • Sponsored and exclusive polo day

  • Product launches, presentations and promotions

  • Private luncheons and dinner/dances

  • Weddings, birthdays and anniversaries

  • Outdoor activities

  • Art Exhibitions

Corporate Day: If you wish to make Hurtwood Park the centre for a Corporate Day, arrangements can be made to include marquee and catering, promotional signage and the chance to present a major trophy. As well as the full equestrian facilities, we also offer 'Learn to Play Polo Days' - these being full packages including an introduction to the game, the rules, hitting the ball and swing techniques, followed by a polo riding lesson, an exhibition match and lunch.

Polo School: The Polo School has been going from strength to strength, and now caters for a wide range of ages and experience. We have a growing membership, from the ages of 5 upwards, so if you would like to visit and see us in action, please do contact us.

Junior Polo: Kids are always welcome. We have our own kiddies play park (toddlers +), pony club, polo club and riding school facilities all available at Hurtwood Park.

Clubhouse: The Clubhouse, even though recently built, does have a unique history! Kenney had been looking for a suitable historic building to use as a clubhouse and heard of an 18th Century barn dismantled and in storage.

He immediately set upon the task of acquiring this wonderful and valuable building and was delighted with what he had found (one of Kenny's hobbies is preserving historical barns). The rebuilding process to restore this barn to its former glory took 18 months. We believe it dates from around 1750, with some parts being 450 years old, as we know that in those days, large structures like this often incorporated timbers from earlier buildings.

Restaurant: Within the clubhouse, our restaurant is under the new direction of James Mclaren Clark. James is proud of the reputation Hurtwood has gained for good food and is continually striving to improve and innovate when it comes to the club's menu. The restaurant offers a modern Mediterranean fair, traditional Sunday lunches and theme nights.
