Lacey Green Polo Club, fully affiliated to the HPA, was founded in 2007 by 4 goal professional Mariano Darritchon of La Mariposa Polo and is situated amid the beauty of the Chiltern Hills (just under and hour away from London). We provide an oasis from the stresses of the city - a place to experience polo and to take the family for a fun day out. We invite players of all ages and abilities to come and experience the joy of polo. With a varied client base Lacey Green Polo Club provides a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with players not only visiting from all over the world but of different ages, ability levels, and nationalities.

The club provides a high standard of tuition and chukkas, and our members can take advantage of our fantastic facilities, our qualified HPA coaches and range of professional players based at Lacey Green.

Polo School

The services and facilities that are available through Lacey Green Polo Club:

• From the absolute beginners (even if you have never sat on a pony before!) to a more advanced polo rider


• Polo school for children and students


• La Mariposa Polo is also an accredited hirer with the Schools and Universities Polo Association, we meet all six of their required criteria including being fully insured & licensed


• Polo clinics that run for one, two or three days and are available by arrangement through Mariano Darritchon


• We also provide pony hire and all equipment needed from team shirts to mallets


• Range of ponies to suit all riders and players

Corporate Events

Lacey Green Polo Club offers flexible pitch hire and a friendly, inviting atmosphere with spectator facilities.

Field hire rates start at £250.00 (not including umpires and medical cover)

Team Buildling Events

If you fancy a day out of the office to get your team going, what better way to do it out on a polo pitch where you can learn a new skill, have fun and work together to have a great day outdoors and blow away those office cobwebs.

Don't worry if you've never been on a pony before we have everything you would need from hats and sticks to ponies and coaches. You can use the time to get to know your team mates in a relaxed atmosphere and have lunch in our new club house before putting your new found skills to the test in afternoon chukkas.

Corporate Entertainment

Whatever your business needs we can put together a tailor made package for your entertainment needs. From pitch side picnics to a three course sit down lunch we can make it happen for you. Polo has become a popular way to entertain clients, create new clients or close a deal whilst sipping on a pimms or when treading in at half time! Whether you want to throw the ball in to start the game, have a go on a pony yourself or have your brand on the tablecloths for your luncheon, all you need to do is let us know your needs and we will organise the rest.

We offer a unique setting and a relaxed atmosphere that your usual hotel or conference suit cannot with the chance to enjoy the sport of polo, the horses or even one of our traditional Argentine Asado Barbeques.
