Murder We Wrote are an experienced group of actors, writers and directors, well versed in the art of comedy and intrigue. Our aim is to entertain you, involve you and make you laugh. We are based in South West England in the Bath / Bristol Area.

Murder Mystery evenings are suitable for Fund Raising, Conference Enhancement, Promotional events, Training, Staff parties, Birthday, Wedding and Christmas celebrations, or just for fun!

Move Over Dahling

Set in the 1920’s, the plot revolves around the theatrical lives of actors, dancers, singers and their agents. The evening is the launch of ‘Daisy Duncan’ rising star, hoping to hit the big time! All looks set for a successful evening, until an uninvited guest arrives and events take a different course! (During the evening, there is a short cabaret number)

Bonjour, Bonjour

Set in a little café in 1940’s wartime Paris – Aspro and his wife Chantal are celebrating their Silver Wedding Anniversary. The party is in full swing until the unexpected arrival of a German Officer. An English Airman then appears on the scene – can Aspro keep the German occupied long enough before he is able to contact the French Resistance? Follow the hilarious events of this evening and discover the outcome! (During the evening, there is a song and dance routine)

The Belles of St Agnes

Welcome to the reunion at St Agnes School for Young Ladies. The headmistress is also hosting yet another fund raising event. So don’t forget to dig deep into your pockets! Join in the fun and capers of this crazy madcap school. Parents and children join the teachers for a truly memorable evening.

The Show Must Go On

It’s the last night of the production ‘Cinderella’ and the cast are in high spirits. The director has just told them that they’re off to Hollywood in the New Year (all but one!). They have also been informed that at the party is a well-known agent, critic and talent scout.



Organised Crime

This plot is set in the present day amongst the local villains of society and it's Harry Greens (Mr. Big) surprise 50th birthday party arranged by his elder son, Jonno and Harry's second wife - Angie. All the guests are family, friends and 'business' colleagues. Harry considers himself to be an honest crook, but one or two of the other guests are rather unsavoury!

A Book to Die For

Set in the present day, the story revolves around 'Jackie De Ville', a famous author, whose latest best seller is about to be made into a television mini series. The evening, hosted by PR Consultants, Maxine and Cliff Ford, is a dual launch to promote Vivienne Westerley's new designer hat collection, and for Gerald Hooker, to announce the winner of the annual 'Hooker Prize Award'. During the evening, the guests are invited to write a winning slogan, which will win them the 'Hooker Prize' and set them on the way to fame and fortune!
