Paintball warriors have been coming to the Thetford facility for more than two decades, allowing it to be shaped to suit their needs, which ensures satisfaction from new and experienced players alike. And as you might predict, expert supervisors are on hand to help first-timers get to grips with their weapon and how to aim it effectively.

Location

Skirmish Paintball Norfolk is located just off the A47, west of Norwich, and was Norfolk's first paintballing park when it opened in 1987. Since then, it has grown to span an impressive 14 different zones, specifically designed to encourage skirmish tactics, rather than sniping.

Its central location in the area means it's easy to reach the Necton venue from King's Lynn and Thetford to the west, or from Norwich, Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth to the east - making it a perfect option for team-building events and corporate days if your workforce contains a number of commuters from across the region.

Zones

With 14 zones to choose from, there are too many to list them all here, but here's a snapshot of the variety available at Skirmish Paintball Norfolk:

Rock and Roll - A capture-the-flag scenario with a difference, this arena contains a huge boulder. Your aim is to score a goal against your opponents' team, before all of your players are eliminated by paintball shots.

Speedball - Run the gauntlet in an arena with see-through, but paintball-proof, barricades. This one will take a bit of lateral thinking, as you have to outwit an enemy who can see your every move.

The Village - Designed to ensure close-quarters combat, The Village has plenty of cover, but is laid out in a way that leaves angles of fire open to attackers and defenders alike. Push forwards, and take the controlling positions!

There are plenty more situations to put you and your friends into - from an over-the-top no-man's-land assault, to an arena with five strategically placed bridges to take, to a low-ammo mission that involves raiding the enemy's supplies.

Games

Paintballing is the obvious option, but it's not the only choice at Skirmish Paintball Norfolk, and it might not be ideal for younger participants.

If you're holding a birthday party and you are not keen on the idea of potentially sending your child's friends home with bruises, then laser combat games are an ideal substitute - there's no danger of running out of ammunition (although paintballs are rationed during junior sessions to prevent this from happening), and it should be a zero-injury sport – though we can’t say that losers egos won’t be a little bruised.

Alternatively, for a serious stag weekend, you might want to trade in your paintball guns for an airsoft rifle instead - missions are planned by experienced former members of the British Army, and you can bring your own equipment or rent rifles at the venue, for an authentic wartime experience the stag will remember long after his wedding is over.

Large groups can be accommodated - bookings are open to up to 100 people at a time - although each scenario typically involves a limited number of participants to keep things fair and thrilling.
