St Vincent College has a picturesque campus nestled on the waterside at the head of the idyllic Gosport Creek. This unique location is one of the last remaining undeveloped shorelines in the Gosport area, where nature and peace can be experienced in the centre of a busy town. The Creekside along with the wider Portsmouth Harbour has been designated as a Site of Specific Scientific Interest due to its unique relationship with neighbouring harbours giving rise to rare and fascinating wildlife.

 

The site was originally a French prisoner of war camp, during the Napoleonic wars, but then became a base for the Royal Marines and latterly a Royal Naval training establishment until it closed in the late 1960s. The buildings, including the impressive gate frontage, have been lovingly restored to house the students and all our events alike.

 

The Naval station boasted a swimming pool however this was re-modelled into the Jervis Gallery which can facilitate up to 180 guests in a banquet formation. The room is lit by an original airy, Victorian skylight which, to this day, provides clean green light and heat throughout the year. We work with our onsite caterers along with offsite catering companies to ensure our venue delivers everything you expect.

 

The original Rifle Range has been sectioned into smaller rooms which are suitable to hold smaller parties. St Vincent Leisure team have the expertise to host all aspects of the party including Activity Parties, Climbing Parties, Bouncy Castles and many more. These rooms can be configured to vary in size and will hold approximately 10 to 30 people for any event. We will be happy to provide catering and refreshments but are equally happy for you to provide your own..............including the cake.

 

We have a great many number of venues on Campus including a Theatre to meet your every need for Wedding Receptions, Themed Christmas Parties, Parties and Buffets, Dinner Dances, Christenings, Anniversaries, Birthdays and Funeral Receptions.
