Peter Brown pyrography art at Shoreham Gallery

Peter says:

"I am a 74 year old person who is retired and doesn't have time to sit around and relax.

When my wife became ill, I had to find a new hobby that I could pursue indoors. I have always had an interest in art of some form or another (I previously did woodturning), and this was how my pyrography journey began. It's been using pyrography now for 14 months, I am totally self taught and have developed my style along the way.

It helps me greatly to get a feel for the subject I 'burn' which may result in me sitting inside or close to it for an hour or so. If the feeling is there then the end result usually turns out well.
