Local privateers, Connaught Engineering, entered the world of Formula 1 beginning in a small workshop in Send and peaking on the track at Syracuse in 1955 with young driver Tony Brooks driving the first British car since 1923 to win a Grand Prix.
Publisher Guy Loveridge and one of the books authors, Graham Rabagliati, will be with us tonight to discuss the story and copies of the book will be on sale and available for signing.
This event takes place in the Vickers Suite.
Please enter via the Campbell Gate off Brooklands Road (marked JTI) and park on the Finishing Straight.
Hot food and drinks will be available in the Vickers Suite from 6pm to 7pm
The event begins at 7.30pm
