A light-hearted and warmly entertaining concert featuring
English folk songs, sea shanties, guitar and flute solos plus themed poetry and
prose.
Built around John Rutter's 'The sprig of Thyme' - a modern
arrangement of traditional songs - we will take you on a journey through songs
sung aboard ship, in harbour towns or seaside towns. Listen to voices moving
between shore and sea, past and present, departure and return, love and loss,
poignant human experiences of life.
Tickets are £12 (FOC for under 16's accompanied by a
ticket holder) and are available via www.haverhillsingers.org or by
payment on the door. Credit and debit cards are accepted.
The concert will run for approx 80 minutes.
Nearby parking is a Lower Downs Slade, CB9 9DP - FOC after
6pm.
