The Wilton Flyer at Woodford Valley Village Hall

Genuinely born in a small second-hand bookshop, The Wilton Rumour has rapidly grown into a seven-piece collective of singers and musicians from a diverse range of professional musical backgrounds.

This is folk music but refracted through a prism of 1960’s folk baroque, jazz, early English music and alt. country. We perform and record original songs and instrumental music that reflect a past era but with themes that are intensely human and relevant to today. We have had great fun creating music that will stay with you long after the show.

Appearing in December will be;

Sarah Dollar- vocals and percussion

Talea Bartlett- vocals and piano

Stephen Porter- vocals and songwriting

Matt Jones- viola

Peter Maxfield- Double bass

Nick Cowen- acoustic guitar and songwriting

Original and spellbinding and at a time when there is seemingly no time, The Wilton Rumour springs calmness, harmony and beauty from a simpler world.
